A pool of Rhizoboxes is now available at the PGEP facility. These are specialized, flat-sided containers used in plant biology and agriculture to study root systems and the surrounding soil (the rhizosphere).
Thanks to their design, they allow researchers to non-invasively observe and measure over time:
- Root growth
- Root architecture
- Nutrient interactions in the soil
Rhizoboxes can be set up in 4 different configurations:
🔹 Classic
🔹 Drainage
🔹 Drainage only back
🔹Split
